From the Experts: Evidence-Based Hiring
Intuition-based hiring isn’t going to cut it anymore–especially in the age of candidate catfishing!
In this week’s episode of America Back to Work, S2Verify co-founder and chief strategy officer, Arnette Heintze, sat down with Ryan Cleaveland, co-founder of Spotter Staffing.
An Illinois native and a graduate of Illinois State University, Cleaveland knows Chicago, and the state, inside and out. His greatest passion is serving those who sacrifice for the greater good, which is why he has dedicated his career to recruiting. It’s also why he and his best friend created Spotter, a staffing organization that advocates for therapists and educational systems.
Last week, we shared why evidence-based hiring is growing in popularity and why it’s important. Earlier this week, we shared our top tips for setting up an evidence-based hiring program. But, don’t take our word for it.
During his conversation with Heintze, Cleaveland shares his very own expert take on evidence-based hiring–and why organizations should create this kind of powerful grading system (as he calls it).
He believes it’s all about bringing more consistency and objectivity to the hiring process to improve employee outcomes over time. That way, organizations can get better at making quality, retention-friendly hires and better at protecting themselves from bad hires–or, worse, catfishing!
