From the Experts: The Future of Burnout
Gen-Z are entering the workforce–find out what they’re bringing to the table.
In this week’s episode of America Back to Work, S2Verify co-founder and chief strategy officer, Arnette Heintze, sat down with Sarah Adler, CEO and founder of Silicon Valley-based Wave: a digital, personalized, affordable mental health care solution for all.
Beyond her role as an entrepreneur, Adler is a clinical psychologist and former behavioral health executive with a background in finance and health care delivery design. She is an operational leader with a knack for building people-centered teams to drive change, and has an obsessive passion for building data-driven, engaging and empathic products in order to increase access to high-quality behavioral health.
As such, Adler is ringside when it comes to labor trends and employee movements, making her the perfect expert to discuss employee burnout on the show–a topic we covered earlier this week on the blog.
When it comes to burnout, Adler believes it’s all about normalizing mental health in the workplace. And, in many ways, Adler believes Gen Z is leading that charge.
“They’re coming in with this new set of values where mental health is something they deserve–something they demand,” she says. “And we’re actually seeing a heavier investment in tools on the commercial side. We’re seeing the advent of tools.” Next, she hopes, will come to an employer response–where mental well-being is regularly part of the workplace conversation.

Purpose In the Workplace
Plus, tune in next week to find out whether having a sense of “purpose” at work can help reduce burnout, prevent turnover, and improve productivity and engagement.
We’re sitting down with Candice Bruder, the founder and CEO of Pure Sweat Studios, a national franchise company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 2017, the company quickly became the exclusive wellness destination for state-of-the-art, full-spectrum infrared sauna and float therapy in Middle Tennessee.
Within the first two years, the company won several awards and accolades, including Nashville Scene’s “best of” business, Nashville Fit’s “best health spa” and MindBody’s “visionary” of the year. Currently, Nashville-area studios include Belle Meade, Brentwood, Franklin’s Cool Springs, 12th South, Clarksville, and East Nashville. Beyond Tennessee, Pure Sweat Studios has locations in Iowa, Utah, and Oregon, with several others under contract throughout the U.S.
